Dated at Salamonia Ind, this 31st day of Oct 1908.

This record of the marriage of James F. Eley and Ethel A. Chew was located at the Jay County Historical Society in Portland, Indiana.

Ethel A. Chew was my paternal first cousin three times removed.  Her husband's middle name was Franklin, per World War I draft records.  The handwriting was a bit difficult to make out whether or not his middle initial was a "T" or an "F".

Thanks to this record, I now have James' parents as well as the place of birth for Ethel, New Weston in Darke County, Ohio.

I do not know the significance of the minister or the denomination at this time.
