My paternal great-grandaunt, Bertha Fidelia LeMASTERS, was born on this date in 1874 in Darke County, Ohio. Bertha was the daughter of Luman Walker and Mary Keziah (CHEW) LEMASTERS, and the younger sister of my Luman Cooper LeMASTERS. Bertha married May 20, 1903 in Jay County, Indiana to John Henry YAEGER. John was born October 4, 1871. They moved to Clay County, Indiana and raised 6 children. John died in 1963. Bertha died March 16, 1922 in Clay County, Indiana.

Elizabeth was the daughter of Heinrich and Catherine (MOSER) WEHRLY, and the younger sister of my Heinrich WEHRLY. Elizabeth married Henry PETRY, son of Steffan and Anna (DANNER) PETRY. Henry was born September 1, 1775 in York, York County, Pennsylvania. They raised 5 children in Preble County, Ohio. Henry died October 10, 1864 in Monroe Township, Preble County, Ohio. Elizabeth died February 8, 1852 in Preble County, Ohio.

My paternal 2nd-great grandaunt, Elizabeth WEHRLY, married on this date in 1860 in Jay County, Indiana to Hiram B. HARTER, son of Henry and Mary Ann (TEAFORD) HARTER. Elizabeth was the daughter of Johannes and Barbara (PETRY) WEHRLY, and the older sister of my William P. WEHRLY. Elizabeth was born June 27, 1841 in Preble County, Ohio. Hiram was born in 1838 in Butler Township, Darke County, Ohio. Hiram served in the Civil War in Company I, 147th Indiana Volunteer Infantry. They lived in Jay County, Indiana and raised 6 children. Hiram died April 10, 1912 in Portland, Jay County, Indiana. Elizabeth died November 12, 1890 in Jay County, Indiana. Both are buried in the Green Park Cemetery, Portland, Jay County, Indiana.
